Private Scholarships

Information about private scholarships is available here as well as through your high school guidance office, community organizations or by using one of the search engines below. Although we post application and/or contact information we receive for outside private scholarships, that does not constitute an endorsement.

Scholarship Scams and Warning Signs

Students and parents should be careful when searching for scholarships. The following are some common fraud warning signs when searching for private/outside scholarships

  • You are required to pay to search for or to receive a scholarship.
  • The application is requesting a bank account/credit card information.
  • The scholarship is guaranteed or your money back.
  • You're a finalist in a contest you never entered.

We encourage all students and parents to learn more from the Federal Trade Commission about common scholarship scams. You can learn how to protect yourself during your scholarship search.
