Apply for Clinicals
- The clinical application for the Fall 2025 will be here Spring 2025.
- The deadline to apply is April 30.
- You must attend a mandatory 45-minute information session. These sessions will include a detailed overview of the program and a tour of the dental facilities. Information sessions are held on the Harrisburg Campus, Select Medical Room 105. RSVP Required.
- You must apply to the college and submit high school transcripts first. Download High School Graduation Verification Information (pdf)

What does a dental assistant do?
A dental assistant performs various tasks. They:
- Assist the dentist with a variety of treatment procedures
- Take dental radiographs
- Develop infection control protocol and prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
- Help patients feel comfortable before, during and after dental treatment
- Provide patients with instructions following dental procedures
- Teach patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies (tooth brushing, flossing and nutritional counseling)
- Take impressions of patients' teeth for study casts (models of teeth)
- Schedule appointments, answer the telephone, order supplies and billing
