"Rita is a nontraditional student, as many of our HACC students are - struggling to keep a job and a family together as they attend classes and do homework assignments sometimes late at night," said Marnie Brennan, theater professor who is directing the play.
"This isn't just a celebration of Rita's triumph, this is a celebration of all students who have had to strive hard to get their education," Brennan added.
Adjunct professor Angela Ruediger as Rita and assistant professor David Bailey as Frank will have the audience laughing, crying and thinking as they cheer Rita on in her search for an education and finding herself in the process.
