"HACC is open to students of any age," said Katie Kough, assistant dean of student services at the HACC-Gettysburg Campus. "We're finding that more and more students are coming to HACC directly after high school. They complete their core education courses to earn a transfer associate degree with us and then transfers their credits to a four-year school.
"Our affordable tuition saves them money, and they commute from home so they have no fees for room and board," Kough added.
"HACC also offers career associate degrees for students interested in specific career fields, and for adults who want to enter the job market or make a career change," she said. "And we have technical training programs for students who want concentrated instruction in specific skill areas."
The "Get It Started" event will include information about HACC's easy enrollment process, tuition payment options, financial aid and scholarship opportunities, and how to transfer credits to a four-year school. Participants will tour the Gettysburg Campus, meet current students, faculty and staff, and learn about student organizations and resources.
"We also provide convenient study options," said Kough. "HACC offers full-time and part-time scheduling, and daytime and evening classes in Gettysburg and Hanover. Students can begin their studies with the spring semester in January, summer semester in June or with the fall semester in August."
