American Idol Strategies/Prep is offered on Saturdays from February 24 to March 31, 10am-noon. Cost is $95. Whether you dream of becoming America's next singing sensation or would like to learn basic elements of a great vocal performance, you will discover valuable audition techniques that can get you beyond the pre-screening process.
Guitar Chord Lab is an ideal course for a guitarist at any skill level. Students will learn movable position chords and maximize their playing potentials. The class is offered on Tuesdays from February 27 to April 24 from 7-9pm. Cost is $125.
Guitar Soloing Lab is designed for the more serious guitarist who is eager to learn the soloing techniques of the professionals. Whether the style is metal, rock, jazz, or country, the same principles are applied. Come expand your soloing potential on Saturdays from February 24 to April 14 at 10am-noon. Cost is $125.
Conversational language courses including Spanish, German, and American Sign Language are available to those interested in expanding their communication possibilities, whether it is for employment qualifications or personal growth.
Conversational Spanish I is offered Tuesdays from February 6 to March 27 at 6-8pm. Cost is $125. This course is designed for the level one beginner.
Conversational German I is a level one beginner course that will be offered Wednesdays from February 14 to April 4, 6-8pm. Cost is $125.
American Sign Language I takes place Tuesdays and Thursdays from February 20 to March 22 from 6-8pm. Cost is $125. This course includes learning the fundamentals of finger spelling, formal signs, pantomime gestures, facial expressions, body movements, and speech to convey meaning in an ordinary conversation.
Fencing will be offered on Thursdays at 6:45-8:15pm. Three different sessions are available to choose from: April 5 to May 10, February 15 to March 29 , and January 4 to February 8. This course will teach the basics of fencing, an anaerobic/aerobic sport that teaches the development and refinement of speed, reaction, and eye/hand coordination. Cost is $125.
Fun and exercise begins on Sunday February 4 with Intro to Ballroom/Rhythm Dancing and continues to March 4. Select from two different class times: 3-4pm, or 4:30-5:30pm. Sessions include beginning instructions in timeless dances such as the Foxtrot, Waltz, Rumba, Cha-Cha, and Tango. Cost is $60.
Latin Dancing for Beginners is a course focusing on the Rumba, Cha-Cha, Salsa (Mambo), and Merengue. Add the zeal of Latin movements to your newly acquired dance steps. The class will be held on Sundays at 1:30-2:30pm from February 4 to March 4. Partners preferred, but not required. Cost is $60.
