"Many of our students come to HACC after being out of school for awhile," said HACC admissions recruiter Heather Watt, "and they're nervous about taking classes again. In this workshop, we'll present information about how to get started and the resources available at HACC. We'll also focus on balancing work, family and school, and building the confidence to get started."
The workshop agenda includes presentations about the college application process and the availability of financial aid. Potential students who are looking for a career change can learn about HACC's diploma, certificate and associate degree programs in a variety of career fields. Students who want a four-year degree can learn how to complete general education courses at HACC and transfer their credits to a four-year college.
A panel of HACC faculty and adult students will be on hand to provide information about the adult learner experience and to answer questions. The event will also include a tour of the HACC-Gettysburg campus.
HACC-Gettysburg Campus is located at the North Gettysburg Center at 731 Old Harrisburg Road, next to Weis Markets and Adams County National Bank. For more information, call Heather Watt at 717-337-3855 ext. 3031.
