Prospective students can come to the session at 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, at the HACC York Center at 2010 Pennsylvania Ave. in York, just north of Route 30 behind the Crossroads/Old Navy shopping center.
The college has recently applied for campus status for its growing York Center where enrollment is expected to increase by 20 percent this fall.
"We've seen a sharp rise in applications for fall," say Peter Oscsodal, director of student services. "Our admissions information sessions give prospective students and their families the chance to ask questions and see if community college programs will meet their needs."
"The June 27 session provides an overview of HACC, what is involved in the admissions process and how to approach financial aid options. Those attending can complete the application process on the spot, and review summer and fall course selections. A tour of the facility and an opportunity to talk with an adviser complete the 90-minute program."
Twenty-two HACC transfer and career degree programs can be completed entirely in York, including business management, criminal justice, human services, elementary education and psychology. Health career options include health science and nursing with short term programs in phlebotomy, EMT, and nurse aide training.
Seating is limited. To register for the session or for further information, please contact HACC's York Center at 718-0328.
