It's tough enough to find a new job, but HACC's Lancaster Campus is trying to make things just a little easier. More than 80 employers are going to be on hand at the Old Philadelphia Pike campus for HACC's seventh annual job fair.
The event -- which is open to the public -- is designed to bring togther area companies and potential employees for employment, internship and mentoring opportunitites according to Lorie Sonnen, career specialist at HACC's Lancaster Campus.
"We're very proud of the growth in this job fair," she said. "It keeps getting bigger every year and our employers tell us this is one of the best events in the area for finding potential workers."
What's more, Sonnen said, participants noted that the job fair is a great place to network with representatives from a wide variety of industries. Participants should plan to bring a resume or employment history and come prepared for on-the-spot interviews.
The job fair is schedule for March 20 and 21 and employers will be on hand from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. The job fair will use the community room in the East Building on the Lancaster Campus located at 1641 Old Philadelphia Pike.
This year's employers are expected to be a diverse group including representatives from the health care, hospitality, social services, manufacturing, technology, government, law enforcement, sales, business, banking, insurance, distribution child care and education sectors.
In addition to meeting with potential employers, participants can explore workforce development and training programs available at HACC's Lancaster Campus.
