Kramer will begin her duties June 25. Kramer's broad range skills and experience made her the choice for the position, notes Baehre.
"Dr. Kramer is familiar with all aspects of college management," she said, "She has served as member of administration, an adjunct faculty member and a member of curriculum development teams.
"What's more," Baehre added, "her experience in campus leadership and community involvement will make her a strong asset for the Lebanon Campus."
Kramer, who has been assistant director at Temple University Harrisburg since 1995, will relocate from Dauphin County to Lebanon County and has made a long-term commitment to the campus.
Kramer, who has nearly 20 years experience in higher education, training and development was coordinator of gerontology education at HACC's Harrisburg Campus in 1976-77.
She earned an Ed.D in adult education in 1997 from Temple University, a master's degree in social gerontology from the University of South Florida, Tampa, in 1975 and a bachelor's degree in psychology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1971. Kramer did additional graduate work in psychology at Old Dominion University, Norfolk, Va., in 1972-74.
Kramer's professional memberships include board member and secretary of Harrisburg Mayor's Commission on Literacy, Pennsylvania Association of Adult and Continuing Education, National Association for Professional Development Schools, Education Action Team/Envision Capital Region, American Association of University Women and Phi Delta Kappa.
She also is a board member of the Harrisburg Art Association, Bal Masque 2007 co-chair and winner of the 2006 Women Who Care Award.
