Inaugural opening for Radius Showcase Series. The first showcase focuses on the traditions of drinking tea and the vessels that contain it. Traditional and abstract interpretations of tea by Pennsylvania craftsmen are featured, such as teacups, teapots, tea cozies and tea bowls. The display is at Radius, HACC Gallery and Museum Shop from Saturday, Sept. 1, through Wednesday, Oct. 31. Radius is located on the ground floor of the State Museum of Pennsylvania, 300 N. Radius Featured Craftsman of the Month: Susanne Lesny. The broad range from detailed interpretations of paintings in clay to the functional ceramics of dinner plates, bowls and serving pieces that are useful and sometimes unusual are featured during September at Radius. Radius Showcase Series - Tea Traditions Open House from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Radius, HACC Gallery and Museum Shop on the ground floor of the State Museum of Pennsylvania, 300 N.
