Oct. 31, 2007
Find out how to navigate the commercial seas as captain of your own business ship by taking advantage of First Monday Workshops at HACC's York Campus.

Would-be business owners will get step-by-step help in unraveling the knots with "How to Start and Grow a Business in Pennsylvania" from 9 a.m.-noon Monday, Nov. 5, in Room 106 at the York Campus, 2010 Pennsylvania Ave., just north of Route 30 behind the Crossroads/Old Navy shopping center.

The event launches the First Monday Workshop presented by HACC Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies. It will be offered at no cost to entrepreneurs on the first Monday of every month (excluding holidays.)

Participants will learn the rules and regulations for business start up, the realities and myths of finding financing, developing a good business plan and government contracting and procurement. After the First Monday session, participants can arrange individual counseling that will continue the development of ideas to make their business dreams a reality.

"The workshop is geared toward helping future business owners to get off on the right foot," said David McNaughton, business counselor, Fulton Bank Small Business Center/HACC Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies.

"If you are not sure where to go, who to see or how to decide on a type of business that is right for you, this is the place to be," he said.

HACC's First Monday Workshop at the York Campus is being held in conjunction with the York Regional Entrepreneurship Week, Nov. 1-6.
