LANCASTER – The next art show at the Lancaster Campus of HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, celebrates and recognizes women, past and present, during Women’s History Month.
Two-dimensional art pieces by HACC students, faculty and staff were collected for the show that runs March 1-27. A reception is scheduled noon-2 p.m. on Monday, March 16, in the East Building room 203 on the local campus.
“‘Celebrating Women’ is a body of art works that celebrates the lives of strong women, honoring, remembering and presenting women's narratives, making the viewer aware of these women's lives in a real sense of the word, not stereotypes, or as objects or clichés,” said Judith Johnson, art curator and humanities instructor, who collected the pieces for the art show.
Times to view “Celebrating Women” vary. For more information, call HACC’s Lancaster Campus at 293-5000.
