Find out how to start your college career at upcoming info sessions in September 2009

Harrisburg, PA – Find out how you can start your college career right in your own backyard in Juniata and Mifflin counties by attending an upcoming information session.
HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, is expanding its services to the two counties this fall with six entry-level college courses being offered in the evenings.
All potential students and members of the public are invited to attend the information sessions, which are scheduled for 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2009, at Lewistown Area High School and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 3,2009, at Juniata High School.
Courses will be offered at Juniata High School at 7 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays. In Mifflin County, courses will be offered at Lewistown Area High School starting at 7 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Classes will run from the Sept. 28 through Dec. 17, 2009.
Students whose applications and qualifications meet HACC requirements can take advantage of the opportunity to earn college credits by enrolling in any of these six courses.
Three courses will be offered by HACC in Juniata County, including:

History 103 (United States History, Part I), 3 credits

Math 111 (Principles of Mathematics), 3 credits

Spanish 101 (Elementary Spanish), 4 credits.
The three courses that will be offered by HACC in Mifflin County are:

Computer Information Systems 105 (Introduction to Software), 3 credits

English 101 (English Composition I), 3 credits

Sociology 201 (Introduction to Sociology), 3 credits
