Be an architect for a day at the Harrisburg or Lancaster Campus
April 7, 2009
HARRISBURG – Children in third through fifth grades will get a closer look at the construction of skyscrapers, bridges and tunnels at HACC’s next Kids College: Discover Architecture.
The Saturday session is from 9 a.m.-noon April 18 at the Harrisburg Campus of HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, on One HACC Drive.
Instruction with hands-on applications makes a fun learning experience for young architects. Find out how structures stand. How tunnels sometimes are not underground. How a bridge holds itself up. How does the water pressure reach the 20th floor?
The cost for Discover Architecture is $30. Complete registration online at http://vc.hacc.edu or contact HACC’s continuing education at 780-2414. The same session is offered from 9 a.m. noon Saturday, April 25 at the Lancaster Campus, 1641 Old Philadelphia Pike.
