Associate degree nursing students graduate

LANCASTER – Graduates of HACC’s associate degree nursing program (RN) at the Lancaster Campus received their nursing pins in a recent ceremony.
The 33 graduate nurses have successfully completed HACC’s two-year, clinical nursing program and are now qualified to take the state licensure exam to become registered nurses.
Several graduates were recognized at the ceremony held at the Lancaster Mennonite School:

Lucinda Manges of Reinholds was the first recipient of the Terry Regitz Spirit of Nursing Award. The award was established by the Student Nurse Organization in memory of the late Terry Regitz who was a member of the 2009 graduating class. Manges received the award for exemplifying compassion, dedication, professional integrity, strength, courage and optimism. Manges was also the recipient of the Nursing Faculty Award for Academic Achievement.

Janel Swinehart of Lebanon received the Good Samaritan Health System Award for Excellence in Patient Advocacy and Satisfaction.

Stacey McCardle of Stewartstown received the Heart of Lancaster Regional Medical Center Award for Compassionate Nursing Care.

Rodney Greist of Coatesville received the Lancaster Regional Medical Center Award for Leadership.

Kelly Ring of Dover received the Nursing Faculty Award for Exemplary Nursing Practice.

Anne Nguyen of Reading received the Sara J. Sigafoos Memorial Award for Clinical Excellence.
