Harrisburg, PA – If starting on the path to a college degree is in your future, HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, can help you get there – right in your own backyard in Juniata and Mifflin counties.
HACC’s expanded services to residents in the two counties will continue this spring semester with eight entry level courses offered Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings, Jan. 13-May 14, at Juniata and Lewistown Area high schools.
Students whose applications and qualifications meet HACC requirements can take advantage of the opportunity to earn college credits by enrolling in any of these eight courses.
The introductory courses are 3 credit hours each. The courses include:
Juniata High School

English Essentials (ENGL 051) – 6-7:15 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays

English Composition I (ENGL 101) – 6-9 p.m. Wednesdays

Introduction to Sociology (SOCI 201) – 6-9 p.m. Tuesdays

Small Business Development and Management (MGMT 121) – 6-9 p.m. Thursdays.
Lewistown High School

Strategy-based Reading III (ENGL 003) – 7:30-8:45 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Introduction to Software for Business (CIS 105) – 6-9 p.m. Wednesdays.

Intermediate Algebra (MATH 051) – 6-7:15 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Principles of Mathematics (MATH 111) – 6-9 p.m. Wednesdays.
