Oct. 16, 2009
LEBANON – Find out the options and flexibility at HACC during the Get It Started open house from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, at the Lebanon Campus of HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College.
Prospective students can speak with faculty and current students about attending HACC, learn about career options and how credits transfer to four-year schools.
“Our programs vary widely with options that lead right to a career or that can prepare students to transfer,” said Kay Litman, campus director of enrollment services. “Some programs can be completed in a shorter amount of time like the technology, trade and administrative office programs. We hold this event to help people see their options and help them make it work.”
The Lebanon Campus expanded art course offerings that can lead to an associate degree in art and design or fine arts. Art faculty and students will be available at the open house to share program information. Pieces of student work will be on display
Along with learning about programs, visitors can check out the types of internship opportunities available and how HACC can help students conduct a job search. They can take a campus tour and find out about the enrollment process.
In addition, visitors can find out about HACC’s English as a Second Language and General Education Development programs offered in Spanish.
Breakout sessions about the Lebanon Campus LPN to RN program and financial aid are also scheduled.
For a well-rounded college experience, prospective students can investigate student life, clubs and activities offered at the Lebanon Campus at 735 Cumberland St.
