Public invited to free event from noon-1 p.m. April 2

LANCASTER – The Piscataway Indian Nation Singers and Dancers will appear from noon-1 p.m. Thursday, April 2, in the Room 203 of the East Building at the Lancaster Campus of HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College. The program is free and open to the community.
This internationally recognized four-person ensemble will present a living history program featuring authentic American Indian dance, drum and song. The troupe also will encourage questions, comments, discussion and audience participation.
The Piscataway Nation Singers and Dancers travel throughout Europe, Canada and the United States to present programs about American Indian culture, traditions and contemporary issues. The group appeared in the movie, “Dances with Wolves,” with Kevin Costner, frequently contributes to programs on the History and Discovery channel, and appears regularly at the Smithsonian’s Museum of the American Indian, national powwows, major festivals and colleges across the country.
The Piscataway Indian Nation appearance at HACC Lancaster, 1641 Old Philadelphia Pike, is sponsored by the Office of Multicultural Affairs. For more information, call 717-358-2263.
