Harrisburg, PA – Central Pennsylvania’s senior citizens can continue their life-long learning in credit classes with a new program launched at HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College.
This new 65+ program allows seniors to audit most credit courses for free, if they meet pre-requisites and placement testing requirements.
Participants must register in person at the HACC campus offering the course no more than five days before the start of a term, and will be accepted on a “seats available” basis. Non-credit programs and developmental, study abroad and ESL are specifically excluded from the 65+ program.
In order to be eligible, participants must reside in one of the following counties in HACC’s service area: Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Fulton, Juniata, Lancaster, Lebanon, Mifflin, Perry, Schuylkill or York. And, although no certificate of residency is required, participants will have to show some proof of residency such as a driver's license or tax receipt.
