Harrisburg, PA — The HACC Wildwood Singers will perform love songs in “The Language of Love” at their annual spring concert at 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 5.
The concert takes place in the Rose Lehrman Arts Center theatre on the Harrisburg Campus of HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, One HACC Drive. This concert is free and open to the public.
The selections will include the Korean folksong “Arirang,” Johannes Brahms’ “Mainacht,” Norwegian composer Ola Gjeilo’s “Ubi Caritas,” Argentinean Liliana Cangiano’s arrangement of “Te Quiero,” American singer/songwriter Billy Vera’s “At this Moment,” and the 1983 hit “Africa,” by Toto.
The ensemble is directed by Tina Bakowski, associate professor of music. The members of the Wildwood Singers are Sean Fortney, Ashanti Guerrero, Kristin Healy, Jared Heisey, Nicole Huber, Michael Kostick, Karen Lawson, Joy Mollica, Christopher Ruble, Rachel Rupp, Meghan Settino, Christopher Shearer, Troy Sturgeon, Michael Vajdic, Kaylene Wance, Chelsea Woods, Amber Zambrana. The student accompanist is Kiattikun Chawiphat.
