GETTYSBURG – Celebrate the talent of local artists at the second annual Artisan Marketplace of Adams County through Sept. 24 at the Gunnar Galleries at the Sewing Factory, 26 N. Fourth St., Gettysburg.
The work of 24 juried artisans is on display and for sale at the marketplace, a partnership of HACC Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies and Gunnar Galleries. Hours are noon-6 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday, with extended hours from noon-9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 2.
The Artisan Marketplace of Adams County offers a venue for artists to showcase their wares and develop a customer base. Jewelry, pottery, paintings, photography, ornaments, greeting cards, origami, textiles, embroidery and porcelain pottery are among the items displayed.
“We’re glad to provide business guidance and contacts so these artists and artisans who are growing small businesses or who are home-based can showcase and sell their artwork,” said Fran Verotsky, director of HACC’s Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies.
HACC Institute of Entrepreneurial Studies also operates marketplaces in Perry County and in York. The marketplaces were developed to provide business planning and execution to help local craftspeople launch their small business.
