HARRISBURG – Michael D. Baker, director of HACC’s C. Ted Lick Wildwood Conference Center, was appointed to the board of directors for the Middle Pennsylvania Chapter of Meeting Professionals International (MPI). He will serve as the vice president of education for the 2011-12 year.
Baker also received the association’s Tomorrow’s Leader Award, which is presented to a member of the chapter who has made contributions to the association at the international or chapter level. Baker also received the award for his level of professionalism.
MPI is the largest association for the meetings profession with more than 25,000 members and 69 chapters and clubs. The MPI Middle Pennsylvania Chapter was chartered in 2008 and has grown to more than 100 members and associate members.
