All courses are offered at the campus, unless otherwise noted. The lineup includes:
 

Fused Art Glass Jewelry, offered 7-9 p.m. Mondays, April 4-18, at a cost of $65, which includes the use of tools. Learn to create beautiful art glass jewelry by cutting specialty fusing and dichroic glass pieces, which are then fired in a kiln. Students will purchase glass and wire and pay a nominal firing fee, which must be paid by cash or check on the first day of class.
 

“Jazz Study: From Congo Square to Carnegie Hall, 1:30-3:30 p.m. Wednesdays, April 6-27, or 6-8 p.m. Wednesdays, April 6-27, at a cost of $85. Students in this new course will explore America’s only original art form, which focuses on the seminal figures through film, taped interviews, and exhibits. You don’t have to be a musician or music major, just have a desire to learn more about this wonderful music we call jazz.
 

“Beaded Butterfly Pin for Mom,” 9 a.m.-noon Saturday, April 16, or 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, at a cost of $35. Using a peyote stitch and colorful beads, students will create a gorgeous pin for a Mother’s Day gift in this new course. Or, make one for yourself. A kit and all other materials are provided for an additional fee of approximately $15.
 

“Glass Fusing, Intermediate,” 7-9 p.m. Mondays, April 25-May 9, at a cost of $65, Create decorative jewelry pieces or try a fused bowl or plate in this class. Students must have prior glass cutting or fusing experience. Tuition includes use of tools and molds. Students may purchase glass in class, and there will be a firing charge. Fees will be collected the first day of class, cash or check only.
 

Discover the fascinating world of earth science in three courses taught by Jeri Jones, program coordinator of York County Parks and owner of Jones Geological Services. Choose any or all in the lineup:

“So You Want to be a Geologist,” 7-9 p.m. Thursday, April 7, at a cost of $25.  Take a crash course in earth science by covering several topics in this new offering. Learn how to identify rocks and what they mean, examine fossils and what they tell a geologist about the past and learn how and where earthquakes occur and learn how to locate an epicenter. The class is totally hands-on with samples and maps.
 

“Geology of Adams County,” 7-9 p.m. Thursday, April 14, at a cost of $25. Using a PowerPoint program, learn what rocks, minerals and fossils can be found in Adams County. Hear the story of how our landscape has been shaped into today’s landforms. Answer questions such as “Were there ever volcanoes in the area,” “Where can I find gold,” and “What minerals have been mined in the area?” This class is a great introduction for the April 30 field trip or a stand-alone program. $25
 

“Geology of Adams County Field Trip,” 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, April 30, at a cost of $75.  Travel to some key locations in the area to examine the local geology. Students will visit a quarry, collect avolcanic rock, see how geology affected the Gettysburg Campaign, see where the county’s only earthquakeoccurred, and stand on rock that formed in an Everglades environment. Registration deadline isApril 15.

“Adams County’s Hidden Treasures Bus Trip,” 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, April 9, at a cost of $49. Adams County is known for the Gettysburg Battlefield, but it also has many fascinating, beautiful, scenic and interesting places. Find out about The Adams County Fruit Belt, Michaux State Forest, Appalachian Trail, the statue of Mary Jameson, old stone and wooden bridges, early churches and other landmarks. Registration deadline is April 1.
 

“Writing Effective Business Ads,” 9 a.m.-noon Saturdays, April 9 and 16, at a cost of $65.  Award-winning copywriter James Rada will teach students how to write business ads to sell a product or company in this new course. Students also will learn how to create effective advertising copy for newspapers, magazines, television, radio, direct mail and the web. Discover the differencebetween selling a product and selling an image.
 

“Managing Transition to Discover the Real You,” 7-9 p.m. Thursday, April 14, at the East Berlin Area Community Center, 406 North Ave., at a cost of $25. In this new course, Ronald Bailey will share the story of his journey, which led him from corporate IBM to living and working in post-apartheid South Africa, to teach students the steps to discover their own giftedness.
 

“Difficult Dialogues Defused,” 6-9 p.m. Thursday, April 14, at a cost of $35. Learn what to say to get what you want in life’s toughest situations. This new course will help you take control of the situation; focus on behavior, not personalities; say what you want without anger; and gain control of your communications with family, friends, peers, bosses, children, and strangers.
 

Invest in Your Debt, offered 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Saturday, April 16, at a cost of $49. Learn how to get completely out of debt, including your mortgage, in as little as three to seven years. Learn specific powerful and proven strategies that work every time. Bring a list of your debts with balances and monthly payments along with a calculator to class.
 

“1861: A Time for Glory,” 7-9 p.m. Thursdays, April 21 and 28, at a cost of $45. This new course begins the remembrance of the 150th anniversary of the Civil War with a review of the cataclysmic events of 1861, a year of turbulence, chaos, and civil war. Using pictures, sound, and music,this eye-opening presentation covers the secession of the Southern states, the formation of theConfederacy, and the politics of the times.
 

“Angels and Demons,” 7-9 p.m. Thursday, April 28, at the East Berlin Area Community Center, 406 North Ave., at a cost of $35. Before “The DaVinci Code,” Dan Brown brought the character of Robert Langdon to life in the pages of“Angels and Demons.” Explore this fascinating book and find out more about Illuminati, ambigrams,and the secrets hidden within the pages.
