HARRISBURG – If you are in the job market, looking for a career change or a student trying to arrange an internship, you may find the right employer at the annual spring job and internship fair at the Harrisburg Campus of HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College.
More than 50 employers from around the region will be at the fair 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, in the C. Ted Lick Wildwood Conference Center on the campus, One HACC Drive. Admission to the fair for students, alumni and the community alike is free.
“The job and internship fair is an excellent event that not only allows students, alumni and the community the opportunity to showcase their skills in order to land a position, but it also gives them a chance to develop new contacts by connecting with employers,” said Howard Alexander, career counselor.
Participants should dress professionally and bring multiple copies of their resume. The fair is an opportunity to meet potential employers and could result in on-the-spot job interviews and possible hiring. Many companies are looking to fill full- and part-time positions in a variety of jobs, including entry level and experienced workers, Alexander said.
Internships also are a key to future success and, therefore, also a crucial aspect of the job fair, he added.
