April 27, 2012
HARRISBURG – Students from HACC’s Student Government Association, Student Programming Board, and a number of other student groups are joining forces to plan HACCfest – a one-day festival held on the last day of classes each spring. This year’s event will be held 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday, May 4, on the quad of HACC’s Harrisburg Campus, One HACC Drive. The theme is “Boardwalk Fun.”
Admission to the event is free, and members of the public are invited to attend. The featured musical performance is ShoreShot,  a trio who have been recording, producing, and releasing music since 2001. ShoreShot's music is best described as a blend of hip-hop and R&B with traces of pop, gospel, and alternative soul with unique vocals. The group will perform noon–1 p.m.
Additional pay-as-you-go activities include video surfing, an inflatable obstacle course, psychics, caricaturists, sand art, old tyme photos, and more. A variety of food will also be available for purchase. Event proceeds benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Capital Region.
For more than 30 years, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Capital Region has operated under the belief that every child has the ability to succeed.
