Feb. 26, 2013
LANCASTER – Representatives from eight colleges will be available to answer questions regarding college at a Get2College event 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, March 9, 2013, in the Main Building on HACC’s Lancaster Campus, 1641 Old Philadelphia Pike.

In addition to HACC, Consolidated School of Business, Franklin and Marshall College, Lancaster Bible College, Millersville University, Central Penn College, Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology and Penn State-York will participate.

A session explaining the financial aid process will be offered twice during the day. Once at 9:30 and again at noon to help families understand how to apply for financial aid, the types of aid available, deadlines and comparing the costs between schools.

Admission representatives from each participating college will be on site. Volunteers will also provide free tax preparation. Registration is required for the free tax preparation by calling 2-1-1.

Additionally, there will be one-on-one help completing and submitting the financial aid application. Spanish and Vietnamese translators will be available.

“You can come to this event and get answers to just about anything related to college,” said Leanne Frech, campus director of financial aid for HACC’s Lancaster Campus. “And it's a great way to start the financial aid process. We have something for everyone at this event.”
