The Wailin' Jennys Show scheduled Sept. 27, 2013
Sept. 12, 2013
HARRISBURG, Pa. – The Wailin’ Jennys open the Live at Rose Lehrman (LARL) 2013-14 season on Friday, Sept. 27, 2013, at 8 p.m. in the Rose Lehrman Arts Center on the Harrisburg Campus of HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College.

After a nearly year-long hiatus, these three extraordinary voices return with their heart-stopping harmonies, engaging stage presence and uplifting repertoire of contemporary, country and roots folk music. The trio has been chomping at the bit to announce that they are heading back out on the road, as mentioned in their blog at www.thewailinjennys.com.

Founded in 2002, the Wailin’ Jennys are Nicky Mehta, Ruth Moody and Heather Masse, three distinct voices that together make an achingly perfect vocal sound. In 2005, they won a Juno Award (Canadian Grammy) for Roots and Traditional Album of the Year for their critically acclaimed album, “40 Days.” In 2012, their album “Bright Morning Stars” also won a Juno Award for Roots and Traditional Album of the Year.

The show sponsors for Wailin’ Jennys are the Susquehanna Folk Music Society and WXPN 88.5 FM.
