'Related/Unrelated' Exhibit Featured at HACC's Lancaster Campus
Aug. 20, 2015
The works of Milt Friedly will be on display in “Related/Unrelated,” an exhibit using remnants of outdated technology to evoke questions about the human experience, in the Art Space in the East Building of the Lancaster Campus of HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College.
The exhibit runs from Aug. 27 to Oct. 21, 2015. A reception for the artist will be held Sept. 9 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
“I am making commentary on our desire to be free of wire to transmit communications and become self-sufficient and independent,” said Friedly of the exhibit. “Despite new technologies, we remain attached to the grid – a cohesiveness that binds us together.”
Friedly, a professor of art at Elizabethtown College for 28 years, received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona, and a Master of Fine Arts degree at the University of Wyoming in Laramie, Wyoming.
Art Space gallery hours for the exhibit are Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m.-7 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Both the exhibit and the reception are free and open to the public.
