HARRISBURG, Pa. – RIOULT Dance NY returns to the stage of Live at Rose Lehrman featuring the sensual, articulate and exquisitely musical works of Pascal Rioult on Oct. 20, 2015, at 7:30 p.m. in the Rose Lehrman Arts Center on HACC’s Harrisburg Campus.
A former track and field athlete in France, Rioult came to the U.S. on a fellowship from the French Ministry of Culture to study modern dance in 1981. After performing with the companies of May O’Donnell and Paul Sanasardo, he was invited to join the world-renowned Martha Graham Dance Company.
In 1994, Rioult began RIOULT Dance NY and has dedicated the past 21 years to developing his own choreographic style as well as nurturing a robust ensemble of dancers. The New York-based company is now a firmly established and respected name in the world of modern dance and has performed at theatres and festivals across Europe, Mexico and throughout the U.S.
The Rose Lehrman Arts Center program will present a curated evening of dance with the theme “Recovery and Resiliency,” including the dances “Prelude to Night” and “Bolero.”
Do not miss this athletically fluid, captivating and bold evening of modern dance. The company will also participate in an open talkback with members of the audience after the show.
