Artist Reflects West Virginia Ties in New HACC Exhibit View Ceramic Sculptures Feb. 24-March 31, 2017
HARRISBURG, Pa. – “PLACE,” an exhibit of ceramic sculptures by Robert “Boomer” Moore, will be on display Feb. 24-March 31, 2017, in the Rose Lehrman Art Gallery on the Harrisburg Campus of HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College.
The artist will discuss his work on March 16 at 5:30 p.m. in Whitaker Hall, Room 214, with a reception immediately following in the gallery. The reception and the exhibit are free and open to the public.
Moore’s collection features work created from his concepts of family, environment and the idea of “home” during the eight years he and his family have lived in West Virginia.
Moore received his bachelor’s degree from Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana, in 1995 and his MFA from Utah State University in Logan, Utah, in 1999. Moore was previously the studio coordinator/instructor at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. He is currently an associate professor of art at West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia.

Gallery hours are Monday-Friday from 11 a.m.-3 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays 5-7 p.m. or by appointment.
The gallery received state arts funding support through a grant from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts and from the National Endowment for the Arts.

HACC Announces Fall 2016 Full-Time Dean’s List
HARRISBURG, Pa. – HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, has named 1,333 students to the fall 2016 full-time dean’s list.
The full-time dean’s list recognizes students who achieved a 3.25 grade point average or higher in college-level classes and completed a minimum of 12 credits during the fall 2016 term.
The students are listed by county and according to hometown mailing address in HACC’s online newsroom.
