HARRISBURG, Pa. – The HACC Foundation recently named Linda Mininger the recipient of the
Bruce E. Cooper, Esq. Leadership Award for her leadership and contributions to HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College.
Mininger, professor of reading and the Harrisburg Campus reading and developmental education coordinator, has been instrumental in creating and implementing the framework for large-scale developmental English education changes at HACC.
She has partnered with the HACC Math Department to create solutions for learner placement and curriculum. She also assists as a conduit between academic departments and counseling and advising.
Mininger has streamlined information and processes while expanding the conversation about developmental education. Her persistence has encouraged HACC colleagues to take a broader view of learners requiring developmental education.
