Sygielski applauded the classes of 2020 for their achievements, especially in the times of a global pandemic. He said, “Our students are saving lives on the healthcare frontlines, completing their schoolwork while educating young children at home and caring for loved ones. All of us at HACC will continue to remain proud of these achievements for many months to come.”
The HACC Foundation, a nonprofit organization that raises private contributions in support of HACC, surprised attendees and provided 25 $1,000 tuition giveaways to graduates to be used for the graduates’ family members. Carter added, “The HACC Foundation is #HACCproud to continue transforming the lives of our current and future HACC students.”
HACC graduates will continue to impact their communities and enter the workforce as nurses, electricians, teachers and caregivers. Many graduates will continue their education at four-year institutions.
