HARRISBURG, Pa. – Greg King is the new chair and La-Verna Fountain is the new vice chair of the Board of Directors of the HACC Foundation. The HACC Foundation is a nonprofit educational trust established in 1985 to raise private and corporate revenues in support of HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College.

King, who has been a member of the Board since 2003, said, “My father, William J. King, was a former HACC Foundation Board member and had a huge influence on my relationship with HACC.”

For a number of years, King was chairman of the HACC Foundation’s annual Frank J. Dixon Golf Tournament fundraiser.

King manages D&H Distributing’s Hewlett Packard business. He formerly served in various sales management roles at AMP/Tyco Electronics (now TE Connectivity).

Fountain, a HACC alumna, said, “Without a doubt, I am in debt to HACC for the faith the professors and administrators had in me. Their encouragement made a significant difference in my life. I promised myself that when I had the opportunity I would find a way to support this educational institution. I am grateful to be able to do so now.”

Fountain, an author, retired from Columbia University, where she served as the vice president for strategic communications and construction business initiatives. She continues to teach in Columbia’s School of Professional Studies.
