HACC Invites Community to ‘Talk about Race’ with Best-Selling Author Ijeoma Oluo will lead discussion of her hard-hitting look at race in America
HARRISBURG, Pa. – HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, is proud to welcome Ijeoma Oluo, writer, speaker, social justice leader and self-described internet yeller, for a discussion based on her New York Times bestselling book, “So You Want to Talk About Race.”
HACC students, employees and community members are welcome to virtually join this inspiring discussion by Oluo on April 11, 2022, at 1 p.m.
Armenta E. Hinton, Ph.D., HACC’s vice president of inclusion, diversity and belonging and Title IX coordinator, said, “This is pivotal time in our collective development at HACC. Especially as we strive to increase our awareness and create spaces for healthy conversations about race.”

HACC Exhibits Digital Video Work of Internationally Known Artist
HARRISBURG, Pa. - Digital video works of art by internationally known artist Jeffrey Moser will be displayed in the Rose Lehrman Art Gallery at HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, April 4-29, 2022.
Moser will discuss his work during a virtual lecture on April 14 at 6 p.m. To join the lecture, please visit the Rose Lehrman Art Gallery website. The lecture is free and open to the public.
Moser’s research includes the creation of three visual databases of light, rhythm and color sequence in films, video games and music videos. The databases contain over 6,000 entries, which display every frame of a video simultaneously, creating a timeline of the film, video game or music video. Hosted on The Research Repository @ WVU, the database is accessed by academic researchers, artists, filmmakers, gamers and film buffs from around the world.
The artist’s work has been featured on ACRE TV; at the Miroslav Kraljevic Gallery in Zagreb, Croatia; and at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C., as part of the 32nd Black Maria Film Festival. Most recently, Moser took third prize at the Contemporary South exhibit at VAE Raleigh in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Moser received his Bachelor of Arts in philosophy from Millersville University and his Master of Fine Arts from the University of Delaware in Newark, Delaware. He is currently an assistant professor and coordinator of the Interactive Design for Media Program at West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia.
