HARRISBURG, Pa. – Individuals who work with children or adults who have experienced trauma may benefit from a new trauma-informed care course offered by HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College.
Trauma-informed care recognizes the presence of trauma symptoms and acknowledges the role that trauma may play in an individual’s life. Students will learn to provide accessible and appropriate support services. Human services professionals, public service workers, counselors, healthcare providers, educators and others can enhance their skills through the course.
This course will be delivered in an online format with three face-to-face meetings at
HACC’s Harrisburg Campus.
