HARRISBURG, Pa. – HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, and Green Flower, the national leader in cannabis education, are proud to announce enhancements to their on-demand online programs to provide job skills training for those interested in a cannabis career.
These three fully online programs (first launched in April 2022), now include curriculum and credential updates, payment plan options and a new website.
In just nine weeks, cannabis professionals can earn a certification as a cannabis cultivation specialist, cannabis retail specialist or cannabis extraction and product development specialist. Each certificate costs $849, and the program is self-directed, meaning it can fit into a student’s busy schedule.
After completing one of the three programs, graduates will earn a digital badge through the Credly global credentialing network that they can publish on their online professional platforms, including LinkedIn. In addition, certificate holders will also receive an advanced ranking for relevant job openings through their included membership in Green Flower’s employer network.
Al Griswold, Ed.D, HACC’s vice president of academic affairs and workforce development, said, “Skill acquisition obtained within a short duration of time is the wave of the future. At HACC, we know our students want to earn certifications quickly. Our partnership with Green Flower allows them to quickly earn a credential and stand out after they receive it.”
“Green Flower is thrilled to celebrate nearly two years of partnership with our fantastic partners at HACC,” said Daniel Kalef, chief growth officer at Green Flower. “The new additions to these programs will help students gain an even deeper knowledge of the industry in general, in addition to the job-specific training. We know that the more well-rounded someone is when working in the cannabis industry, the more opportunities they will see for personal and professional growth.”
New students can receive a $100 discount at the time of registration using the following code: HACC100
