About the Fund

The Fund for Inclusive Excellence provides the funds needed to ensure that inclusivity and belonging remains entrenched in every aspect of HACC’s culture. We are committed to being on the front line when it comes to implementing programs and procedures that ensure HACC is an open and accepting space for everyone.

Impact

With YOUR support, every HACC student will continue to be welcomed and accommodated through innovative programs like:

• The Center for Inclusive Excellence will provide an open and accepting space for students of all backgrounds to congregate and meet for guest speaker presentations, minority club meetings and mentoring programs. This space can be virtual or on one of our campus locations.
• Mentoring programs will pair students with mentors to provide resources for issues inside or outside of the classroom. Mentors can be paired with the student based on identity or need. Mentors will be paired with students through HACC’s Military and Veterans Affairs Department, Black Male Initiative, Sister Circle and other affinity and support groups.
• The President’s Award for Inclusive Excellence would be given to employees who have gone above and beyond to create a culture of acceptance.

Unfortunately, initiatives like this are not commonplace in higher education. YOU can help HACC set the standard for inclusivity and acceptance in higher education.
