If you have already written a will that is satisfactory to you in its general provisions, you may amend it by writing a codicil. A codicil is merely an addition to a will.

Specific Bequest to the HACC Foundation
A specific bequest gives a specific item or piece of property to the HACC Foundation. If the donor disposes of the specified item during his or her lifetime, there will be no bequest to the Foundation.

A cash bequest provides the HACC Foundation with a specified sum of money from a donor’s estate.

A residuary bequest is made from the residue, or what remains in a donor’s estate after specific and cash bequests, taxes, settlement costs and debts are satisfied.
