The best part about my job at HACC is…:
Obviously the students! The best part is to see where a student starts at HACC and where they end up going for internships, scholarships, transfer colleges, careers, etc. There are no limits for HACC students and I love to see it!

Tip for student success:
There are so many opportunities to take advantage of in college and I encourage students to try something at least once. Go outside of your comfort zone to grow and experience anything and everything.

The best part about my job at HACC is…:
Walking beside students while they complete their educational goals!

Tips for student success:

1). Show Up for class and Participate: A class typically meets only 3-4 hours a week, make this time your priority! The more active you are in class, the more information you will retain. “It is a short-term commitment for long term gains.”

2). Syllabus, Syllabus, Syllabus: This is your roadmap for success, being prepared daily is a MUST! Included in the syllabus are: course requirements, professor expectations and contact information, due dates to complete assignments on time, exams dates, etc.

3). Limit Distractions: Stay focused, “be present” during class and outside while prepping for class, studying for tests or writing papers. Set your phone to “do not disturb” while in class and completing course tasks.

4). Don’t be afraid to Ask for HELP: The college has many resources to support you through your educational journey! WE are HERE to support you and your SUCCESS! You will do GREAT!!!
