HACC Holds 115th Police Academy Graduation
HARRISBURG, Pa. – Members of the local law enforcement community, along with family and friends, recently celebrated the graduation of 41 cadets from the 115th Municipal Police Academy of HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College.
Cadets received their training at the Senator Jeffrey E. Piccola Law Enforcement Complex of the Senator John J. Shumaker Public Safety Center (PSC). HACC’s Police Academy is the second largest in Pennsylvania, with two 25-week, full-time basic training courses and a 48-week, part-time basic training course mandated by the Municipal Police Officers’ Education and Training Commission.
Several of the graduating cadets received outstanding achievement awards during the ceremony held June 27 at Dauphin County Technical School. The award recipients of the 115th Police Academy graduation are:

The certificate program, in its fourth year, provides students with 200 hours of instruction from craft beer industry experts. Classes include Foundations of Beer Making, in which students create their own beer recipe, and Current Trends in the Beer Industry. Students also participate in a guaranteed 80-hour internship. Students have the opportunity to complete the certificate program in six months.
In April 2019, Brewing Science certificate students released Smash no. 55.
