LANCASTER, Pa. – The Radiologic Technology Program at HACC, Central Pennsylvania's Community College, was recently reaccredited for eight years, the maximum award of accreditation given by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).
HACC’s
Radiologic Technology associate degree program is offered at the Lancaster Campus, in cooperation with affiliated hospitals, physician’s offices and medical imaging centers in the region. Students receive practical instruction on site and take a combination of online and in-person classes.
Melinda Eash, department chair, HACC’s Health and Public Services Department, said, “This reaccreditation further demonstrates what Central Pennsylvania healthcare providers already know – HACC’s Radiologic Technology Program graduates are well prepared and meet the highest standards in their field.”
In 2017, 100 percent of Radiologic Technology Program graduates passed the national board exam and have a 100-percent job placement rate.
The JRCERT is the only agency recognized by the US Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) for the accreditation of traditional and distance delivery educational programs in radiography, radiation therapy, magnetic resonance and medical dosimetry.
