All students interested in this program must begin in the Pre-Health Professions Program. Then, students may apply for admission into this program once they meet the requirements to apply. Students will discuss these admission requirements as part of their advising process.
After completing your associate degree, you can apply for positions in the healthcare field as a radiologic technologist or radiographer.
As a radiologic technologist, you will perform general radiographic images of the human body, which physicians use to make a medical diagnosis. You may find work in hospital radiology departments physician's offices or independent medical-imaging centers.

You will receive the knowledge and technical expertise to produce radiographic images of the human body. Our program is offered in cooperation with affiliated hospitals, physician's offices and medical imaging centers, which allows you to receive practical and clinical instruction onsite. This program curriculum is structured so that courses are offered in both blended and face-to-face formats. You will only be required to attend in-class and laboratory sessions at the campus one day per week.

Upon completion of the program, you will be prepared to take the national certifying examination administered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Your eligibility to sit for the ARRT national registry examination may be affected by prior crime convictions, such as a felony, gross misdemeanor or misdemeanor. Affordably YOURS, our two-year degree program is a transfer program. We designed our programs to be flexible enough to transfer to a wide variety of four-year colleges and universities with no loss of credit. If your intended transfer school participates in Pennsylvania’s statewide college credit transfer system, you will be able to begin at the junior level. Our programs also transfer well to schools outside of the statewide system. However, each individual college has its own unique program. We encourage you to select a four-year school as soon as possible. This will allow you to learn the transfer college’s program requirements so you can take the proper classes at HACC.

When enrolling into the Radiologic Technology Program, you must first enroll into the Pre-Health Professions AS degree. Therefore, please use program code 3150 on your application and then select the Radiologic Technology concentration.
