“With HACC, it is possible to attend college, work and raise children at the same time.”
Jennifer Phillips plans to use her HACC degree to change lives. Jennifer is a psychology major who takes classes online through Virtual Learning. Beyond graduation, she wants to earn a bachelor’s degree and additional certifications so that she can be of service to people in recovery from addiction.
“I am grateful for the opportunities I have been given to attend college,” Jennifer said. “I struggled with addiction for years and now HACC is giving me the jump start I need to pursue a degree in psychology to one day be able to help others who are struggling reach sobriety and a better life for themselves.”
Jennifer is also a mom. She said that she chose HACC because community college enables her to work full time and achieve her goals of bettering the lives of her children.
Jennifer said that if HACC was not an option for her, it would “change my life tremendously.” Luckily, she doesn’t have to worry about a world without HACC!
