“The professors have been great and the advisers have really helped guide me thus far.”
Sara Yunginger’s initial reasons for taking classes at HACC were simple – it was close to home and “cheaper than other options.”
Sara takes many of her classes online, which allows flexibility while earning her degree in human services!
HACC students who take classes online still have access to the support they need. Sara, who faced challenges in high school and did not know she had a learning disability, now benefits from the full support of her HACC professors and advisers.
She wrote, “The disability services have helped me get the accommodations I need to succeed every semester. It helps me to not have to stress, knowing I can take my time on exams.”
Sara was named to the dean’s list and aspires to work in drug and alcohol rehabilitation after graduating
