Our program combines business and technology to prepare you for a career in business that allows your focus to be on the use of information technology to improve business operations and decision making. Our curriculum teaches you computer systems, data management and how the application of information can be used to solve business problems

Through hands-on practice, you are taught:

  • Information systems design
  • project management
  • data visualization
  • statistical analysis
  • data interpretation

In addition you are introduced to modern analytics software and programming languages to find patterns in different data sources. Ethical and privacy issues, related to organizational data use, are also discussed. All designed to provide you with the academic foundation needed to transfer to a four-year school and pursue a Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Data Analystics or Data Science.

Upon completion of our program, you will be able to:

  • Explain the principles of information systems and the role they play in business management
  • Analyze data using statistical techniques and data visualization tools
  • Interpret and communicate data clearly within a business context to make data-driven decisions
  • Gain profeciency in managing databases including design, development, data normalization and data manipulation using SQL

Yes! Our associate degree programs are designed to be flexible enough to transfer to a wide variety of colleges and universities with no loss of credit. However, each individual college has its own unique program. We encourage you to select a four-year school as soon as possible. This will allow you to learn the transfer college’s program requirements so you can take the proper classes at HACC.
