The HACC RN/LPN Reactivation and Refresher programs are for:
The programs prepare individuals for return to nursing practice and the clinical setting.
The curriculum focuses on the nursing process, current nursing practices, trends, ethical/legal issues, pharmacology and clinical management of patients. Attention is given to a variety of aspects including: assessment skills, care plans, infection control, technological advancements, quality assurance and drug administration.
After completing this program, you can re-enter the workforce as an RN or LPN.
Instructors are experts in the field of nursing and education and will assist and guide you in returning to active participation in the nursing profession. Clinical experience is conducted in an acute care medical-surgical facility to provide optimum learning opportunities. Through clinical experience, classroom lectures and hands-on labs, you will have the opportunity to refresh your skills, build your confidence and gain insight into new techniques and technology. This program is approved by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
Program Length: If you are required to perform a clinical rotation for reactivation of your inactive or lapsed license, this program is designed to be completed in eight weeks. If you are only taking the classroom/lab portion of the program to refresh your skills, the program can be completed in six weeks or less.
Student Dress Code: You will be required to wear scrubs while performing your clinical experience. You will also be required to wear nursing-appropriate (closed-toe and closed-heel) footwear at your clinical experience and in the lab. Please note that no Crocs are permitted.
Textbooks: Textbooks are required but will be provided on your first day of class.

Classes will be held Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Some evenings and Saturdays may be required. The clinical experience will be Monday through Friday, 6 a.m.-3 p.m.
